A little while ago I wrote about the repeat old programmes that Go and Melita were putting up on the BBC Entertainment channel. But, of course, they did not take a blind bit of notice and, in fact, added to the misery.

However, I will continue to Keep Up Appearances and write once more to remember my days in Dad’s Army. But, of course, we cannot do otherwise being treated as we are by Go and Melita like Fools (and horses).

Then again, the wine I normally drink during the summer has now run out and I am enjoying my winter mulled wine. But, of course, my palate is spoiled by The Last of the Summer Wine dating back at least some six or seven years.

But the climax of all my TV misery is when One Foot in the Grave comes up on my screen and I have to remind myself that as an (almost) 90-year-old it of course applies to me!

Please, Go and Melita, not again during this Christmas season.

Nevertheless, until January 7, I don’t have to put up with politics or the sight of Franco Debono acting the spoilt Form II ‘clever boy’... Please keep him away from us. And, finally, let’s hope Go and Melita produce better fare on  BBC Entertainment in 2013.
