Without a doubt, 2012 has been another exciting year for Maltese DJ duo Tenishia.

Fuelled by the success of their debut album Memory of a Dream and various performances in four different continents, Joven Grech and Cyprian Cassar’s star has continued rising higher after the two Maltese DJs placed 50th in the prestigious DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll.

Last year, Tenishia came in at number 91, making this a significant leap upwards in their international standing, especially when considering that over 35,000 DJs from around the world competed for a place in the Top 100.

Earlier this year, Tenishia gave a stellar performance when they closed the Trance Stage at Europe’s biggest dance festival Tomorrowland.

They also performed at Privilege in Ibiza, in Los Angeles, and went on tour in Australia.

Their concert in Ta’ Qali last March drew attendances that only top international DJs usually bring in.

Their debut album Memory of a Dream, released last July at the peak of the DJ Mag voting, has been very well received by their fans and was instrumental in creating a wider fan base internationally.

It also received very good reviews, with many electronic dance music afficionados suggesting it might also be named the Trance Album of the Year.

Meanwhile, Tenishia are planning to celebrate their DJ Mag achievement locally with a huge celebration party on New Year’s Eve at Sky Club, Malta’s biggest indoor club.

Further to this, there is also talk of another concert to be held next year, a live showcase of the tracks on Memory of a Dream.
