They’re widely known as the Dynamic Duo from Malta on the international dance music circuit. And with good reason too, for few Maltese artists have flown the Maltese flag with so much success, and as far and wide as Tenishia have in recent years.

Their electrifying performances helped their local and international fanbase to keep growing.

The duo’s latest achievement took place on New Year’s Eve, when Joven Grech and Cyprian Cassar held a stage performance to an audience of 300,000 people on New Year’s Eve in Hanoi, the second largest city in Vietnam. This was probably one of the largest crowds a Maltese artist ever performed to. Tenishia gave a one-hour performance that had everyone screaming for more.

Initially, the opportunity to play in Hanoi actually put Tenishia in a difficult predicament, as the duo had already announced its own New Year’s Eve event here in Malta.

“It was a hard choice to make as we didn’t want to let down our Maltese fans by cancelling the event in Malta. On the other hand, we also didn’t want to miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to further our career,” Cassar remarked. In the end, they decided to take on both shows separately, inviting their close friend, Dutch DJ Ruben de Ronde, to join them for the Hanoi performance.

The event rounded off a successful year for Tenishia, during which they played at some of the world’s best clubs and festivals. It also kicked off a year that will see them taking new challenges, not least their upcoming tour of the US, where the dance music scene is currently booming.
