With a national fan base and a long list of musical achievements, appearances on national TV stations are par for the course for the local DJ duo Tenishia.
Their recent appearance on MTV Asia, however, made possible following heavy touring in Asian countries, marks an undoubted milestone in the DJs’ career.
Consistency in high-quality track releases and large-scale DJ shows abroad, means that this is not the first time the Maltese duo achieved exposure beyond local TV stations, with several interviews having already been aired on various stations, including a recent one with Shanghai TV and Radio 899 in China.
Broadcasting across the Asian continent, MTV Asia reaches billions of people in eight countries, including China.
Tenishia’s music videos were selected by Top Chinese DJ Jamaster A, who hosts his own personal show on MTV Asia called DJ Master Picks. The DJ also invited the duo during their appearance as his special guests of the month on his April/May show this year. During the appearance, Tenishia will choose their own selection of videos on MTV.
The past year was a particularly successful period for the duo where, besides their regular touring, they also had a weekly DJ residency throughout summer in Gatecrasher, Ibiza.
The duo also had 14 international track releases and ranked among the World’s Top 100 DJs for the fourth consecutive year. They are currently working on consolidating their music legacy throughout this year, which already includes appearances in a number of international festivals.
