They’ve talked about it for some time now, and the day is finally here. Come Saturday, duo Tenishia will be taking over Malta’s largest indoor venue to present Tenishia in Concert.
The big event comes hot on the heels of the duo’s ongoing success on the international scene, particularly in recent months when they placed on the prestigious DJ Mag’s Top 100 and landed an IDMA nomination at the 2012 Miami Winter Music Conference for Shores of Eden.
Tenishia in Concert is being presented in collaboration with Fresh Events to mark another milestone in their career, at the same time serving as a prelude to the launch of the duo’s debut album, which will be released through Armada Records later this year.
The one-off concert-style event will be Tenishia’s first big stage production, with the duo performing a four-hour DJ and live set for the first time.
The set will also feature vocal performances from all the international and local singers they have collaborated with over the years, namely Jan Johnston, Kirsty Hawkshaw, Aneym, Susana, Raquela and Ivan Grech.
In a press statement, the duo said the concert will be a show and not a regular DJ gig. The arena will receive a custom design production where the whole show will be supported by next-generation visuals, pyrotechnics, light and sound.
The event will also be professionally filmed for distribution at a later stage. Given Fresh Events’ reputation for big production shows and sold-out events and Tenishia’s proven musical skills, there is no doubt that the event is going to be something very special indeed.
Tenishia in Concert in association with Fresh Events and Vibe FM will be held at MFCC, Ta’ Qali, on Saturday. The event will be hosted by McGuinner and will also feature warm-up sets from other DJs.
