Commuters who make 10 trips by bus this month will benefit from an extra €10 credit on their Tallinja card next month.

Transport Malta announced the initiative in an attempt to encourage public transport commuting, it said in a statement. A single journey is defined as any trip from any point to any final destination, including line changes within a two-hour period, Transport Malta said.

In preparation for the introduction of new routes, which has been delayed due to a union dispute, new bus stops have already been installed in some areas and more will be in place soon.
