The Government has decided to go ahead itself with the printed publication of a telephone directory, after the entity designated to do the job has so far failed to do so.

The Malta Information Technology Agency, Mita, has told the Malta Communications Authority of its intentions and is currently amassing information from all telephony operators.

The information was given by Communications Minister Austin Gatt in reply to a parliamentary question by Nationalist MP Jean Pierre Farrugia.
