One of the 14 teenagers convicted and jailed for rape and sexually assaulting 16 victims yesterday filed an appeal saying that the main victim was just not credible.

The man, who cannot be named because he was a minor at the time of the incident, said that the victim, a disabled girl, was not credible and even had sex with other accused persons voluntarily.

If it was true that he had raped her, she would have had to go to a doctor for injuries, he said.

Among other legal arguments, he said that the court had made an incorrect evaluation of the evidence.

Lawyer José Herrera filed the appeal.
