Teachers from St Albert the Great College, Valletta, and San Anton School, L-Imselliet, recently visited Greece where they were hosted by the 30th Primary School of Trikala, as part of the two-year Comenius project ‘Dear Europe’.

The project is based on celebrations and traditions and part of the visit was dedicated to finalising a celebrations calendar whereby every country had to choose a drawing submitted by children depicting a particular theme depending on the month chosen.

Schools from Malta, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, and Poland are taking part in the project.

During the visit the school representatives also visited the Acropolis in Athens, the archaeological site of the Delphi oracle, the mystical Meteora monasteries and rustic taverns.

The local schools’ participation in the project was financially supported by the European Union Programmes Authority.
