Professor Andreas Andreopolous will be delivering a series of lectures in Malta this week.

Andreopolous, who lectures at the University of Winchester, UK, is the guest of the Faculty of Theology and the Department of Oriental Studies of the University of Malta. He is an expert on Greek patristics, monasticism, iconography and Christian aesthetics and has authored several books.

The first two lectures are being held tomorrow at the University of Malta in Tal-Qroqq, Msida.

Andreopolous will first deliver a talk entitled The Orthodox Contribution to Ecology (3pm, Board Room 317 of the Faculty of Theology). This will be followed by The Biblical Basis of Prayer and Miracles (5.30pm, Room 122, Old Humanities Building).

On Thursday, the Augustinian Institute in Pietà will host the lecture on Eastern Orthodox Monasticism at 6pm.

The public is invited to attend all three lectures.
