The third Design Dialogues programme is taking place between November 5 and 9 at the University of Malta’s Valletta campus.

The series of public talks brings together local and international practitioners, thinkers and experts across the fields of design and architecture.

As well as exposing Malta’s creative industries to new ideas and networks, Design Dialogues provides a platform for everyone to discuss and debate the role of design in Malta and the country’s position in the region and beyond.

This year’s programme sees participants as diverse as lighting and product designer Paul Cocksedge, architect, academic and urban strategist Frank Minnaërt, architects Konrad Buhagiar and Yoshi Tsukamoto and design historian, curator and gallerist Libby Sellers.

■ This section will be carrying a piece on each dialogue on a daily basis starting on Saturday until November 9. Organisers Foundation 808 anticipate high attendance. While all dialogues are free of charge, bookings are required. Audiences are required to arrive by 6pm. For more information, write to nicole@we-live-here.net or call 99913919. To book, visit www.designweek.com.mt.

Design Dialogues is organised in collaboration with JPA and is part of the Valletta 2018 – European Capital of Culture Programme. It is being presented in partnership with DEX Workspaces, Ursulino Valletta and the University of Malta.
