Keepsy may have the strangest name of anything I’ve reviewed before, but it turned out to be quite a serious and useful web service.

Keepsy lets users work together to create personalised photo albums online. You can create an album and add personal photos and decorations to customise the look of your album pages. Then you can share your album with friends and invite them to participate in its creation.

Friends and family can also add their photos and create additional pages so the album is a complete collection of memories that everyone is able to contribute to. Users can also pitch in and order an actual print copy of the photo album for someone. Albums can be purchased with an Amazon gift card to complete the gift.

How does this differ from other sites like Flickr? Well, many websites allow users to build collections of photos, while some even include slide shows and album style designs. The main thing missing from many of these is group participation. Keepsy lets users invite others to participate in the creation of a personalised photo album. After completing each page, you can order an actual copy of the album to keep.

Keepsy provides a fun service that lets users collaborate on personalised online photo albums. Although the site is entertaining and useful when creating an album with assistance, it doesn’t offer anything that would justify a subscription fee.

You can create and edit their Keepsy albums for free and there are no charges for using the application. The only charge is if you decide to order an actual copy of your photo album.
