The restored chapel of the Visitation in Għarb, known as Taż-Żejt, was inaugurated by Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono last Sunday. The renovation project by Għarb council cost around €640,000.

The statue of St Paul, which stands on the upper part of the belfry, has also been restored, as was also the entrance to the chapel.

The inauguration programme consisted of Mass by the chapel’s rector Canon Achille Cauchi and a musical interlude by violinist Stefan Scerri. Architect Edward Scerri gave a short description of the restoration works.
