The stained glass window adorning the façade of Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary was recently restored by Joe Meilak, who teaches the art of stained glass at the Wistin Camilleri School of Arts in Għajnsielem.

The window, also known as the rose window, was made in Germany in 1931. It is made up of eight panels with a total of 760 pieces of glass. The project took more than 343 hours of painstaking work to complete. Mr Meilak restored the dome windows in 2011.

The project was jointly undertaken by Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary and the Gozo Ministry.
