How can genetics laboratory techniques help predict Maltese people’s eye colour? Do octopuses have high levels of dangerous chemicals that could make them unsuitable for consumption by humans?

These will be among the questions addressed by this year’s University of Malta graduates at the Annual Biology Symposium that will be held on November 21 in the John Borg Science Lecture Theatre at the University.

The symposium showcases findings from research projects undertaken by undergraduate and postgraduate students at the Biology Department.

This year’s edition marks the 100th anniversary of the Faculty of Science. More information on 2340 2272 or james.fenech@um.edu.mt.
