Ray Chen, regarded as one of the most compelling young violinists internationally, will perform the complex, original version of Alexey Shor’s Seascapes for violin and orchestra today at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.

The event forms part of the Malta International Music Festival, which  runs until Tuesday.

Chen, winner of the Queen Elizabeth (2009) and Yehudi Menuhin Competitions (2008), will be accompanied by the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Sergey Smbatyan.
