It has been a few months since I complained to the Swieqi local council and the police station there about the continuous water flowing out of a newly-built block of flats. It was solved for a few days but the problem is back again.

The last time I went to the police station I was asked to contact the health department, which I did but after almost two weeks I still got no feedback although I was told they would call me back. Both the local council and the police know the person they should contact and they can easily communicate with the owners to have the matter solved.

It seems the police would not like me to make a written complaint and all I was told was to contact the health department’s office in Sliema.

The problem is that the liquid seeping out of the block of flats is not rainwater and keeps flowing out, causing a great inconvenience to nearby houses.

I would be grateful if someone in authority could guide me on the best way to get this great inconvenience solved. It is a known fact that stagnant water attracts mosquitos.
