The courtyard at the Auberge de Castille in Valletta this week rang with the merry singing of 13 men from the Copenhagen Police Male Voice Choir, founded in 1913, in an effort to promote trust between citizens and the police. The eldest singer in the 25-men choir has just turned 95 and the youngest is 57. The band has participated in concerts in England, Germany, France, Russia, Lithuania and Nordic countries. During their visit to Malta they gave three short concerts in band clubs in Mellieħa and met Police Commissioner John Rizzo.
