Marcus Ekman, head of international sales for the luxury Swedish rosé wine brand Bodvar, visited the Delicata winery, with two winning contestants from a leading waterfront restaurant in Stockholm.

The winners were Evelina Wernström and Emelie Sydow, who were in Malta on a weekend stay, courtesy of Bodvar of Sweden.

They were representing the Strandbryggan restaurant, which won the 2011 annual competition, organised throughout Sweden to award the restaurant which sold the most bottles of this brand of wine during the year.

Bodvar of Sweden is an own-label export version of Delicata’s Rosé Ġellewża Frizzante that has been produced for Swedish entrepreneur Bodvar Hafstrom exclusively by Delicata for over six years.

The wine is sold throughout Sweden’s VIP lounge bar and restaurant sector and has become one of the country’s leading premium sparkling rosé wine.

During the visit Mr Ekman tasted and approved the new 2011 vintage of the Rosé Ġellewża Frizzante IGTstraight from the pressurised stainless steel temperature controlled tanks at Delicata winery.
