A series of courses in the use of ICT for the self-employed and small business owners was launched by the economy minister yesterday.

“From the beginning, this government has worked hard to launch a number of initiatives that will help Maltese businesses in a time of changing demand. We are aware of the challenges and are determined to keep offering our support,” Chris Cardona said at a press conference at Smart City.

E-commerce, he said, was one such challenge and the government was committed to helping businesses change that challenge into opportunity.

The eBIZ project, as the courses are called, is specifically geared towards educating Maltese business owners in ways ICT can help lower costs and access wider markets.
