I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere congratulations to the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts for the way they organised another year of cultural tours.

This year I had the opportunity of attending some of these cultural visits and I was really impressed by the way they are conducted. These tours offered an opportunity to all those interested in visiting some of Malta’s interesting treasures as well as those lesser known but equally important historical sites. These cultural tours covered places such as fortresses, chapels, palaces and archeological sites, to mention but a few. I therefore would like to thank Noel D’Amato and his team as well as the guides for their collective effort in making these tours a success.

Their attention to detail as well as their dedication to making such tours a success is to be commended. With such initiatives it is now possible for everyone to learn more about and better appreciate the history and culture that embrace our islands. In the meantime, I look forward to next October for the new schedule of cultural tours.
