Internet subscriptions continued to increase at the end of last year, while TV and fixed telephone subscriptions dropped, according to national data.

The National Statistics Office yesterday said that during the last quarter of 2014, internet broadband subscriptions increased by six per cent to more than 151,550.

Television subscriptions totalled 147,880, registering a decrease of 0.7 per cent compared to the previous year.

Digital subscriptions continued to dominate the market, while analogue subscriptions dropped by 8.6 per cent.

Fixed telephone subscriptions at the end of December reached 230,361, down by 0.4 per cent.
