The Mcast Institute of ICT recently held its annual students’ projects day at the main campus in Paola.

Final year students from the National Diploma, Higher National Diploma and B.Sc. courses presented projects to ICT stakeholders.

Over 50 students from the software, networks and multimedia streams exhibited their projects. These included website applications to manage company, library and multimedia content; e-learning software, client subscription software, a calorie counter and a virtual walk-in-wardrobe that matches one’s clothes online via a customised database.

This gave students the opportunity to meet employers in the industry and establish contacts as they prepare to enter the workforce.

The event also helped Mcast and get feedback from industry stakeholders, helping it to offer vocational education and training relevant to the needs of the economy.
