Sometime after 5pm on Sunday, October 8, my wife and I, after having visited a relative at Mater Dei Hospital, boarded bus number 204 (going in the direction of Marsascala) to return home.

We didn’t take long to arrive at the Marsa Park and Ride station, after which the driver, as is the norm, left the bus parked for another driver to replace him. Now – as anyone who has used the 120 and 204 buses knows – on many occasions this change of drivers might take up to 10 minutes, but this time we passengers were faced with a worse situation.

After having waited for more than 20 minutes with no driver showing up, we decided to inquire at the Malta Transport office. The answer we got was that no driver would be showing up! So we were left stranded at the Marsa Park and Ride!

We had to wait anotherhalf hour before we were lucky to board a bus heading to the airport, alighting at Paola Square to board another bus to our destination.

Such a poor bus service is completely unacceptable.
