To date, Stolen Creep’s biggest achievement has been its remarkable impact on the local music scene thanks to the highly infectious Lector Spector debut single released a couple of years ago.
Since then, other than a handful of live appearances, the band’s profile hasn’t quite been in the limelight as much, the reason for this being largely a major reshuffle within the band’s ranks.
Now downsized to a three-piece, the band has also undergone something of a musical makeover, with the girls also taking on further musical commitments that have seen them performing with other bands besides Stolen Creep in recent months.
The wait for a new release however is over, and Stolen Creep’s next public engagement will be a live performance at V-Gen in Paceville a week from today.
The performance will coincide with the official launch of their debut EP, which, according to a post on the band’s Facebook page, is the result of “much work, dedication, sacrifice and many-a-cosy night drawn in our carpeted dusky-rose-walled practice space sipping tea and doing what we love most”.
Upcoming singer-songwriter Alex Alden and maverick indie band Hey Sus, will also be performing on the night. Entrance is €5, or €7 including the EP.
