Formerly a member of French folk rock band Herman Dune, Stanley Brinks has, as of 2007, pursued a separate career, mining a more organic musical vein that is most evident in his most recent work. Released last November, the album Ħafna Xita, as the title implies has a Maltese connection.

Brinks accidentally stumbled upon our shores last year, falling in love with the island and writing several songs during his stay here, some of which have an evident Malta-related theme.

Following a busy year touring with the likes of Jeffrey Lewis, The Wave Pictures and The Kanics, Brinks is currently back in Malta for another visit, and quite likely more song-writing to be done.

He will also be performing here together with Berlin-based folk singer Freschard and local band Stalko.

The concert will take place on January 19 at the San Gejtanu Band Club in Ħamrun. Entrance is €10 and doors open at 8.30pm.
