Stagedive and Kinemastik have announced that Stalko will be the supporting band at the Owen Pallett concert which will take place at the San Gejtanu Band Club in Ħamrun on May 1.
Stalko is a wilderness-based indie folk quartet formed in the summer of 2009. When playing live, the band uses piano, bass, guitar, violin and an assortment of pocket-sized instruments.
Halfway through recording an album, the studio sound of Stalko is bigger and by comparison makes the live set up sound stripped down.
Meanwhile, Pallett (also known as Final Fantasy) is currently on tour promoting his latest album, Heartland.
Although performing solo, Pallett is a one-man orchestra using a looping pedal to build layer upon layer of sound on his electric violin for highly articulate songs.
Tickets for the event cost €15 (€18 at the door if available) and are available from D’Amato, Coach and Horses, Sugu or directly from the organisers.
