A 24-year-old man from Marsaxlokk is in a stable condition after being stabbed during a fight that broke out in the early hours of yesterday in Great Siege Road, Valletta.

Police said the incident happened at around 2am. Two men aged 49 and 33, both from Valletta, were arrested after being seen close by.

One had blood on his face, officers said. A magisterial inquiry is under way.
