The relic of St Maria Mazzarello, the foundress of the Congregation of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (Salesians of Don Bosco), was exposed in various places in Gozo last Tuesday and Wednesday for the veneration of the people.

The relic was brought over as part of the celebrations marking the 140th anniversary of the founding of the congregation by Maria Mazzarello in1872.

The relic was at the Laura Vicuna school, the Salesian Sisters’ house in Victoria and Għasri parish church.

The relic, brought over from Naples, was transported to Malta last Friday.

Today, it will be at the Salesian Sisters in Sliema.
