Will the St Julians local council please take note that while its efforts at controlling garbage dumping are appreciated, it would be much better if its operative was on the streets the day before the black bag collection instead of at 7.30 on the morning of that collection.

Harassing people who are correctly leaving their litter half an hour before the waste management truck passes by is not what is required. It is the people who leave the black bags the day before who should be admonished.

I was actually informed by a lady worker employed by the local council that the reasons why the garbage skips have been removed is because of a European Union ruling! What utter rubbish.
