Rugby Union: Ireland will travel to France with a full bill of health as they seek the victory that would almost certainly make them Six Nations champions and end Brian O’Driscoll’s international career on a high. Ireland go to Paris with three wins and a +81 points difference, meaning any sort of victory for Joe Schmidt‘s team will likely bring their second title in 29 years. Schmidt made one change to the side that hammered the Italians, with Munster’s Peter O’Mahony returning from injury to take his place in the back row ahead of Iain Henderson. Ian Madigan also comes onto the bench in place of Paddy Jackson.

Alpine Skiing: Austria’s Anna Fenninger won her first women’s alpine skiing World Cup title when she placed second behind Lara Gut in the super-G at the finals in Lenzerheide yesterday. She holds a 215 point advantage over Switzerland’s Gut, her nearest active rival with two races remaining, and cannot be overhauled in the standings. Germany‘s 2011 champion Maria Hoefl-Riesch is second overall but was forced to end her season on Wednesday after hurting her shoulder in a crash.

Basketball: Hobbled five-time NBA champion Kobe Bryant has been shut down for the season, the Los Angeles Lakers said in a crowning blow to an abysmal year for the storied franchise. Bryant, 35, has not played since Dec. 17 when he fractured his knee during a game against Memphis after having missed the first 19 games of the 2013-14 NBA season recovering from a torn Achilles from last April. The sixteen-time All-Star, who has played six games this season, was examined on Wednesday by the team’s physician, who determined that the injury has still not healed.
