Draxler: Wolfsburg director of sport Klaus Allofs says his club will listen to offers for Julian Draxler. Draxler was dropped from the squad for the Wolves’ 5-0 defeat at Bayern Munich yesterday after he once again expressed his desire to leave the club. “If we are to receive an offer we will consider it and see whether we react to it,” Allofs said. “We are not putting him up for sale or sticking a price tag on him, though, just to make that clear.”

Guardiola: Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says FIFA should consider allowing “four, five or six” substitutes to combat the threat of burnout among players. Guardiola, 45, says adding games to a busy schedule will “kill the players”. “They are focusing on more and more and more,” he said. “I am thinking just for the players. It’s just three subs now – why can you not make four, five or six? All the players would be involved more than before, the coaches can use different tactics.”

Jailed: Bolivian authorities have jailed the second suspect accused of wrongdoing in the air crash that wiped out Brazil’s Chapecoense football team last month. Gustavo Vargas Villegas, a former official with Bolivia’s aviation authority, was arrested and will be held until trial on charges that he misused his influence in authorising the licence of the plane that crashed in Colombia.

Trouble: Fighting broke out in the away end during Accrington’s clash at Leyton Orient yesterday. Midway through the first half at Brisbane Road, footage emerged of a number of fans clashing with each other behind the goal. Stewards and police arrived to try to split up the brawling supporters, although that seemed to do little to deter them. It remains unclear who the fighting was between.

Stadium explosion: A suspected car bomb outside an Istanbul football stadium last night killed at least 13 people, police sources said. Broadcaster NTV said 38 people had been wounded but gave no details of any death toll. Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu earlier said around 20 people had been wounded and that there was no immediate information on any deaths.
