Bolivia: Bolivia have been stripped of the four World Cup qualifying points they gained from a 2-0 victory over Peru and a goalless draw with Chile as punishment for fielding an ineligible player. FIFA awarded Peru and Chile 3-0 victories in the matches last month after Nelson Cabrera played for Bolivia despite being ineligible having previously represented Para-guay. Bolivia, who were also fined $12,000, remain second-last in the 10-team South American qualifying standings.

Walsh: Hull goalkeeping coach Gary Walsh has left the club to link up once more with Steve Bruce at Aston Villa. Walsh, 48, is the latest member of Hull’s backroom team to leave the club in favour of a switch to Villa following Stephen Clemence’s decision to join up with former Tigers boss Bruce in mid-October. Walsh’s departure means current manager Mike Phelan is the only member of the coaching team which guided Hull to promotion in May still at the club.

Cesena: Andrea Camplone, formerly of Bari, has taken over from Massimo Drago as coach of Serie B side Cesena. Cesena sacked Drago for taking just ten points from Cesena’s opening 12 games with the side slipping away from the top half and struggling in the drop zone. Camplone has signed a contract with Cesena until June next year.

Northern Ireland: Chris Brunt and Will Grigg are back in the Northern Ireland squad for the home double header with Azerbaijan and Croatia. West Brom midfielder Brunt returned from an eight-month knee lay-off last month to feature again for the Baggies while Wigan striker Grigg has not been in either of Michael O’Neill’s past two squads because his partner had a child.

Manolos: Roma central defender Kostas Manolos faces two weeks out after breaking his nose in training. Manolas adds to a growing list of sidelined Giallorossi players which includes Thomas Vermaelen and Alessandro Florenzi. “Kostas Manolas will have surgery and is expected to be sidelined for a fortnight,” Roma said in a statement.
