Revenue: Europe’s top clubs are set to earn over €100 million following changes to the distribution of Champions League revenue, according to German magazine kicker. The paper published a simulation for the 2018-19 season, which forecast that the total marketing revenues will rise from €2.35bn at which they currently stand to €3.2 billion for all UEFA competitions, the Champions League, the Europa League and the Super Cup. In the 2015-16 season, €1.3bn will be distributed to UCL participants.

Busby seats: Man. United have moved relatives of former manager Matt Busby out of the directors’ box and into another part of Old Trafford. Following Busby’s death in 1994 the directors’ box seats were transferred to his children Sandy and Sheena, who both died in the 2014-15 season, but those seats are no longer available to the family. “The club continues to provide tickets and hospitality for the descendants of Sir Matt but with the passing of his children that hospitality will continue in the Warwick Suite,” said a club statement.

New Season: Greece’s Super League will finally kick off this weekend after the Hellenic Football Federation (EPO) and the Super League ended their feud over referees. Greece risked being suspended by FIFA after the government intervened in a long-running dispute over the selection of referees by ordering the postponement of the new season. But after discussions, former FIFA referee Kyros Vassaras was appointed as chief arbitrator until the EPO elections on Oct.1.

Kosovo: Kosovo were given permission to field former Albanian internationals Samir Ujkani and Alban Meha and ex-Norway player Valon Berisha yesterday, hours before their first-ever competitive international. The trio have played competitive internationals and would not normally be allowed to change teams, but FIFA opened an exception for Kosovo as its federation was accepted as a member of the governing body only in May.
