Fired: Turkey’s football federation has sacked 105 staff, including some referees, two days after officials at the organisation quit as part of a probe into last month’s failed coup attempt. The federation said in a statement that it had severed ties with 94 people including referees, linesmen and national and regional observers while also ending its relationship with 11 other representatives.

McCormack: Fulham have accepted a bid from Aston Villa for striker Ross McCormack. McCormack has attracted attention from the relegated club with his 21-goal haul for Fulham last season in the Championship. Villa are hoping to make an immediate return to the Premier League and signing the 29-year-old Scotland international would represent a big piece of the jigsaw, should the deal be completed.

Dyer: Winger Nathan Dyer has signed a new four-year contract with Premier League club Swansea City. The 28-year-old, who picked up a Premier League winner’s medal during his loan spell at Leicester City last season, joined the club from Southampton in 2009. Dyer, who had one year left on his previous contract, is the second Swansea player to commit to the club in as many days with Gylfi Sigurdsson also signing a new four-year deal.

Kiraly: Veteran goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly has announced his international retirement with a Hungary record of 107 caps. The 40-year-old helped lead Hungary to the last 16 of Euro 2016, where he became the oldest player ever to appear at the tournament, but has decided now is the right time to end his Hungary career. The former Crystal Palace goalkeeper is set to play on for his hometown club Szombathelyi Haladas.

Fazio: Roma have signed Argen-tina defender Federico Fazio from Tottenham on a season-long loan deal. The 29-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Sevilla, moves for a loan fee of €1.2m, with Roma having the option to buy him outright for €3.2m. Fazio moved to Tottenham from Sevilla in 2014.

Gabriel: Man. City have completed the signing of 19-year-old Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus from Palmeiras. Gabriel, who was named the best newcomer in the Brazilian Serie A Campeonato in 2015, will remain with his current club until December 2016 before moving to the Etihad in January 2017.
