Vieri: Former Italy striker Christian Vieri will be back from retirement to play in China, he an-nounced on his Instagram profile. Vieri, 43, retired from the game in 2009 following stints with Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Inter among others. He said: “Bobo is back, I’ve decided to go play in China. Five months ago I weighed 101kg, now I’m at 91kg… I must drop another two, reach 89kg and I’m ready.”

Traore: Nottingham Forest have signed former Arsenal and QPR defender Armand Traore on a three-year contract. Traore, 26, was one of seven players released by QPR in June after he failed to make an appearance for the Londoners last season. Traore joined Arsenal from Monaco in 2005 and went on to make 34 appearances for Arsene Wenger’s side before heading out on loan spells to Portsmouth and Juventus.

Lukic: Young midfielder Sasa Lukic has joined Torino from Serbian club Partizan Belgrade. The 19-year-old agreed to a four-year contract with the Serie A club. Sky Italia reported that Torino have paid a fee of €2m to secure the player’s services. Spain’s Sevilla were also interested but Lukic opted to link up with compatriot and Torino coach Sinisa Mihajlovic in the Italian top flight.

Lafferty: Norwich striker Kyle Lafferty has been charged by the FA with misconduct in relation to betting. The 28-year-old Northern Ireland player is alleged to have broken FA rules by betting on a match in February. The governing body said Lafferty has until August 5 to respond to the charge.

Tore: West Ham winger Gokhan Tore requires a scan on his knee injury after being hurt in training on Monday. The Turkish winger, spending the season on loan from Besiktas, missed Thursday’s 2-1 Europa League qualifying defeat to Slovenian side Domzale in Ljubljana. Assistant manager Nikola Jurcevic said: “Gokhan Tore was injured in training and he must have a scan. We hope it will not be serious.”
