Kluivert: Former Holland international Patrick Kluivert has been appointed director of football at Paris St Germain, the French champions have an-nounced. The arrival of the 40-year-old follows the appointment of Unai Emery as head coach, replacing Laurent Blanc last month. PSG say Kluivert will “play an active role in the national and international development of the club” and “defining the club’s long-term sporting strategy.”

Skrtel: Martin Skrtel has signed for Fenerbahce from Liverpool. The Turkish Super Lig side announced the deal with a tweet welcoming the Slovakian defender. Fenerbahce said the player would be presented to the media today. No details over the length of contract were immediately announced, and it has been reported that the Istanbul club paid Liverpool £5million for the 31-year-old.

Husband: Middlesbrough defender James Husband is likely to miss the rest of pre-season as he prepares to undergo shoulder surgery, the Premier League side said. The 22-year-old full-back, who dislocated his shoulder during Saturday’s 6-0 friendly victory at York, is to go under the knife on Monday to address the problem. Husband confirmed the planned operation via his Twitter account.

Ibrahimovic: New Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic could miss the club’s preseason tour of China this week, according to multiple reports. The BBC, Times and Guardian all report that Jose Mourinho may allow Ibrahimovic, 34, to sit out the trip despite having already had the minimum three-week rest period after Euro 2016, as required by FIFA.

Stones: Everton have been made aware that Manchester City are interested in signing defender John Stones this summer, Skysports reported yesterday. The Toffees board does not want to sell the England centre-back, and Sky Sports News said it will take a bid of at least £50m to lure him away. Stones – who has been away with the England squad at Euro 2016 – is due to report back for pre-season training on Monday.

Ibe: AFC Bournemouth have completed the signing of Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe for an undisclosed fee. The 20-year-old has penned a four-year deal at Vitality Stadium to become the club’s fifth summer signing. The England U21 international made 41 appearances for the Reds in all competitions last season, including six games in the Europa League as Jurgen Klopp’s side made it to the final. “He played plenty of football with Liverpool last season and we’re looking forward to seeing him to continue to grow now with us, he’s a huge prospect,” club chairman Neill Blake said.
