Digne: Barcelona have signed PSG full-back Lucas Digne for an initial €16.5m. The 22-year-old, an unused member of France’s Euro 2016 squad, has signed a five-year deal with the Spanish champions. Digne, who began his career with Lille, joined PSG in 2013, but struggled to displace Maxwell from their starting line-up.

Traore: Russian champions CSKA Moscow have strengthened their attack with Monaco’s Lacina Traore joining on a season-long loan, the club said yesterday. The 25-year-old Ivory Coast forward has scored four goals in eight internationals and is set to replace Ahmed Musa who joined English champions Leicester City on Friday.

West Ham: A thunderstorm temporarily halted West Ham United’s final game of their United States tour as the Hammers drew 2-2 against Carolina Railhawks. The adverse weather conditions forced a 40-minute delay just after the hour mark, at which point the visitors led 2-1. Winston Reid had scored at either end before Andy Carroll gave Slaven Bilic’s side the lead for the first time, but Marvin Ceballos’s penalty earned the North American Soccer League club a draw.

Davis: Southampton have announced former goalkeeper Kelvin Davis will remain at the club as their new Football Development Executive. The 39-year-old spent 10 seasons as a Saints player and, following his testimonial at the end of the last campaign, will now move into a role at St Mary’s Stadium as part of the backroom staff behind new manager Claude Puel.

Mazzarri: New Watford manager Walter Mazzarri has ordered players to stay at a hotel during pre-season in an effort to forge a closer bond. The team have been staying at a Hertfordshire hotel since last week during their build-up for the 2016-17 Premier League season. Italian Mazzarri, formerly of Inter, replaced Quique Sanchez Flores in May but began working with the players last week.

Fletcher: West Ham have signed England Under-20 international Ashley Fletcher from Manchester United. The 20-year-old, who has signed a four-year contract with the Hammers, spent the second half of last season on loan at Barnsley, helping the Tykes win the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy and promotion from League One via the play-offs. The striker was out of contract at Old Trafford.
