Neymar: Spain’s High Court said yesterday it had dropped a fraud and corruption investigation into Brazil captain Neymar saying no crime had been committed. Charges were also dropped against his father and agent Neymar Da Silva Santos, former Barcelona president Sandro Rossell and ex-Santos president Odilio Rodrigues, according to a written ruling. The charges related to Neymar’s transfer to Barcelona from Santos three years ago.

Cech: Arsenal and Czech Republic goalkeeper Petr Cech has an-nounced his international retirement. The 34-year-old holds a record 121 caps for his country and played all three games as Pavel Vbra’s side exited Euro 2016 at the group stage with a point. Cech made his senior international debut in 2002 and went on to represent the Czech Republic at Euro 2004 and the 2006 World Cup before captaining the side at Euro 2008.

Gamez: Newcastle have secured the signing of Jesus Gamez from Atletico Madrid. The 31-year-old central defender has signed an initial two-year contract to become the Championship club’s fourth summer arrival.

Borre: Montpellier have signed defender Anthony Vanden Borre on loan for the season from Anderlecht. The 28-year-old former Fiorentina, Genoa and Ports-mouth player has joined the Ligue 1 outfit with an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.

King: Swansea have announced midfielder Adam King has signed a new contract with the club that runs to the summer of 2019. Scotland Under-21 international King, who joined the Swans from Hearts in January 2014, had been on a deal set to expire at the end of next season. The 20-year-old spent the first half of last term on loan with Crewe.
