Banega: Inter have officially signed former Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega on a three-year contract. The 28-year-old Argentina international was a free agent after leaving Sevilla following two seasons. A statement on Inter’s website confirmed the Boca Juniors academy graduate had chosen to commit to Roberto Mancini’s Nerazzurri until June 30, 2019.
Daum: German Christoph Daum has emerged as favourite to take over as coach of the Romanian national team after arriving in Bucharest yesterday. Daum who coached several teams in the Bundesliga as well as in Turkey, Austria and Belgium, refused to talk to reporters about his potential appointment but reports said the 62-year-old had already reached an agreement with the Romanian Football federation.
Neustadter: Roman Neustadter has completed his move from Schalke to Fenerbahce after turning down the Bundesliga club’s offer of a new contract. The Turkish club announced last week they had opened talks with the 28-year-old. And a statement on the club’s website read: “Roman Neustadter has signed an official contract binding him to our club for three years.”
McGhee: Middlesbrough have confirmed the loan signing of Hearts defender Jordan McGhee. The Scotland U-21 international, who has made 70 appearances at Tynecastle, joins Aitor Karanka’s side on a season-long deal. Middlesbrough confirmed they have an option to make the 19-year-old’s deal a permanent one.
