Rybus: Lyon have announced the signing of left-back Maciej Rybus on a free transfer. The Poland international was out of contract with Russian top-flight club Terek Grozny. The 26-year-old’s arrival will be formally announced at a press conference and he is expected to pen a three-year deal. Rybus’s signing looks set to offset the loss of Henri Bedimo, who has reportedly agreed a deal with Marseille.

Bayern: Paul Clement has been appointed assistant manager at Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. The 44-year-old, who was sacked as manager of Championship side Derby in February, links up with Carlo Ancelotti once again having worked with the Italian at Chelsea, Paris St Germain and Real Madrid. Ancelotti has also added his son, Davide, to the club’s health and fitness team.

Deported: France will deport Russian fan leader Alexander Shprygin after he returned despite a previous expulsion in connection with violence that marred the start of Euro 2016, the Foreign Ministry said. Police re-arrested Shprygin on Monday in the southwestern city of Toulouse, where the Russian team was playing Wales. He had already been deported on June 18 following violence before and during the England-Russia match in Marseille.

Hernandez: Leicester have announced they will sign defender Luis Hernandez on a free transfer from Sporting Gijon. The 27-year-old will join the Premier League champions on a four-year deal when his contract with the La Liga side expires at the end of the month. Hernandez becomes the Foxes’ first summer signing as they prepare for the Champions League next season, while they are also chasing Watford striker Troy Deeney.

Metz: Newly-promoted Metz have completed the signing of free-agent midfielder Yann Jouffre. The experienced 31-year-old, who can operate anywhere across the middle of the park, left Lorient in the summer after eight years and 202 top-flight appearances. Jouffre has signed a two-year deal at the Stade Saint-Symphorien, Metz announced on their official website.
