Hennessey: Wales goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey will have a pain-killing injection in his back so he can play against England in his country’s second Euro 2016 Group B encounter on Thursday. The 29-year-old missed the 2-1 win over Slovakia on Saturday after injuring his back in training. “I had a similar one (back spasm) and missed the Liverpool game at home for Crystal Palace (in March). So I’ll have an injection now and I will probably be back in 24 hours, which sounds crazy,” Hennessey told reporters.

Crystal Palace: Crystal Palace have decided against handing new deals to strikers Emmanuel Adebayor and Marouane Chamakh and defender Brede Hangeland. Staying for another season, however, are goalkeeper Julian Speroni and defender Damien Delaney who both signed one-year contract extensions.

Vitesse: Henk Fraser was named as the new coach of Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem yesterday after signing a two-year contract, the club said. Fraser moves across from ADO Den Haag and replaces Rob Maas, who departed after just one season in which Vitesse finished ninth in the Dutch league and failed to qualify for Europe. Vitesse also said 20-year-old Brazilian striker Nathan would return on loan for a second season from parent club Chelsea.

Hearts: Hearts head coach Robbie Neilson has completed his first summer signing after landing former Dundee United and Kilmarnock forward Robbie Muirhead on a free transfer. Muirhead has signed a 12-month deal and could get his first taste of action for the Jambos when they kick off their Europa League campaign on June 30.
