Drame: Atalanta defender Boukary Drame has signed a contract extension with the club. The Serie A outfit announced on their official website yesterday that Drame had committed to them through to the summer of 2018. The Senegalese player joined two years ago after leaving Chievo and has made 57 appearances for Atalanta to date.

Dembele: Borussia Dortmund have announced the signing of rising star Ousmane Dembele from Rennes on a five-year contract. The 18-year-old forward has been linked with major clubs from across Europe, including Premier League champions Leicester and Europa League finalists Liverpool, but Dortmund have won the race for his signature.

Benteke: Christian Benteke’s stoppage-time equaliser against Chelsea made the Belgium forward the most prolific goalscorer in the Premier League from the substitute bench this season. Benteke’s header was his ninth league goal of the season with six of those coming off the bench to take him two clear of teammate Divock Origi and former Reds striker Andy Carroll, who have four goals each.

Bento: Former Portugal and Sporting Lisbon coach Paulo Bento has taken over at Brazilian team Cruzeiro. “Paulo Bento will arrive in Brazil on Monday and his contract will be until December 2017,” the club said in a statement yesterday. The 46-year-old replaces Deivid de Souza who was fired after 18 games because he failed to lead Cruzeiro into the final of the Minas Gerais state championship.

League Two: Play-off semi-final (first leg) – Portsmouth vs Plymouth 2-2.

Scottish Premier: Aberdeen vs Hearts 0-1.
