Kante: Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri admits N’Golo Kante could be allowed to leave the King Power Stadium. Midfielder Kante hinted this week he was flattered about being linked with a move away after a stellar season. “I think he should rest here. But if some big teams arrive who give us a lot of big money, maybe we can think about it,” he said. “I don’t want sad people here. I want happy people.”

Morgans: Liverpool’s head of fitness and conditioning Ryland Morgans is to leave the club to pursue new challenges. Morgans, an appointment by former manager Brendan Rodgers, is also a member of the backroom staff of Wales, who are preparing for the European Championships in France this summer. “This has been an extremely difficult decision to reach but I feel now is the right time to move on and pursue a new challenge,” he told liverpoolfc.com yesterday.

New Film: AFC Wimbledon have reached an agreement with Hollywood studio Fox 2000 to release a film about the club’s remarkable climb up the English football pyramid. Club benefactor and author John Green will team up with Temple Hill Entertainment to produce the movie. AFC Wimbledon was founded by a group of supporters in 2002 after the FA sanctioned the relocation of Wimbledon FC to Milton Keynes, 56 miles north. The club changed its name to MK Dons in 2004.

Anfield: Liverpool are considering playing a home match away from Anfield this summer. Final completion work on the Main Stand redevelopment means measures are being considered to stage any potential European qualifier at another ground in the north west and reports said yesterday that Bolton and Wigan are viable options. Liverpool have already made a request to the Premier League to play their first match of the new domestic season away from home to allow the finishing touches to be done.

The Championship: QPR vs Middlesbrough 2-3.
