Van Gaal: The future of Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has been placed in further doubt after the Dutchman was left out of the club’s promotional video for the summer tour of China. Van Gaal’s position at Old Trafford has been the subject of continued speculation. He will soon enter the final year of a three-year contract but was left out of a 48-second clip on the club website to promote the summer trip to the Far East.

Sepsi: Romania defender Laszlo Sepsi has been ruled out of the Euro 2016 warm-up against European champions Spain tomorrow due to injury, the Romanian football federation (FRF) said. FRF, which did not specify the nature of the 28-year-old left-back’s injury, said in a statement that Sepsi returned to his club FC Nurnberg for treatment after failing to recover for the much-anticipated match in Cluj-Napoca.

Roeder: League Two strugglers Stevenage have appointed Glenn Roeder as managerial advisor until the end of the season. Former West Ham, Newcastle and Norwich boss Roeder will assist Darren Sarll, who has been in charge since Teddy Sheringham was sacked in February. Roeder’s most recent role was as an advisor at Sheffield Wednesday.

Lafferty: Birmingham have signed Northern Ireland international Kyle Lafferty from Norwich on loan until the end of the season. The 28-year-old striker has made more appearances for his country than for Alex Neil’s Premier League side this season and has not played a senior game of football since January. Lafferty could make his Birmingham debut in their away game against Charlton on April 2.

Ghana: An early goal from Frank Acheampong helped Ghana to a 3-1 defeat of Mozambique as they maintained their 100 per cent record in the African Nations Cup qualifiers. Ghana have nine points at the head of Group H and could secure a place at next year’s finals in Gabon as early as tomorrow when they play Mozambique again, this time in Maputo.
