Red Star: Former European champions Red Star Belgrade set a new club record of 24 successive league wins yesterday with a 4-0 victory at Novi Pazar that sent them 32 points clear at the top of the Serbian first division. Red Star have 77 points from 27 games, with second-placed champions and bitter city foes Partizan trailing far behind.

Official song: Wales’ France-bound squad have linked up with the Manic Street Preachers for an official Euro 2016 song. The song, entitled ‘Together Stronger’, will be released close to the tournament on May 20 with all profits going to the Princes Gate Trust and Tenovus Cancer Care. The song’s release coincides with the Manic Street Preacher’s 20th Anniversary re-issue of their hugely successful fourth album ‘Everything Must Go’.

Goitom: Relegation-threatened Getafe have signed Swedish striker Henok Goitom on a deal until the end of the season. The 31-year-old, who has previously played in Spain with Real Murcia, Real Valladolid and Almeria, had been without a club since leaving AIK Solna in November. Getafe announced Goitom had signed a short-term contract on their official website.

Lanzini: West Ham have completed the signing of Manuel Lanzini on a four-year contract from Al Jazira. The 23-year-old midfielder had been on loan from the UAE club and has now sealed a permanent switch to Upton Park. The deal, which includes an option for a further two years, is understood to be worth around £9 million.

Ibrahimovic: Captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic has decided to skip European Championship finalists Sweden’s friendly against Turkey in Antalya on Friday. “I offered him the chance to skip the match and he accepted,” coach Erik Hamren said. “The reason is that I want to preserve his great form... I think this is for the best.” Ibrahimovic, 34, scored 11 goals in 10 Euro 2016 qualifying games for the Swedes.
