Renard: Lille have parted company with coach Herve Renard after less than six months in charge, the club have announced. Renard joined the club in May on a three-year contract but with the club struggling in 16th in Ligue 1, Saturday’s draw with Bastia proved to be his last game in charge of the team.

Maracana: The men’s and women’s Olympic football finals will be played at the Maracana stadium. The opening game will be a women’s group match on Aug. 3 at the Olympic Stadium in host city Rio de Janeiro, FIFA said. The tournament officially kicks off two days later. Seven stadiums will host games – two in Rio, plus arenas in Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Manaus, Salvador and Sao Paulo.

Bowyer: Blackburn are searching for a new manager after announcing Gary Bowyer has left the club. The 44-year-old had been in charge at Ewood Park since May 2013 having filled the role on a caretaker basis on more than one occasion. Rovers de-cided to wield the axe following a run of one win in six league games which sees the 1995 Premier League champions languishing 16th in the Championship.

Rangers: Mike Ashley is continuing his dispute with the Rangers board by taking the Scottish FA to court. Ashley has called for a judicial review of the SFA’s decision to pass Rangers chairman Dave King “fit and proper” to take up his role at Ibrox. Court officials have confirmed that a hearing will take place at the Court of Session in Edinburgh on February 4.

Aguero: Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero believes he will be fit to return after the international break. Aguero has been out since early October with a hamstring injury sustained while playing for Argentina. “I don’t think I’m too far away now,” Aguero said. “I still need to work hard for another week and if not this week, then maybe next, I hope to start training with the rest of the lads and so my target is Liverpool.”
