Livermore: Hull City have suspended midfielder Jake Livermore after he tested positive for cocaine. Livermore, who has made one appearance for England, failed a random drug test after the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace last month. Livermore’s suspension will be a blow to Hull manager Steve Bruce, whose side are scrapping to avoid relegation from the Premiership.

Andreolli: Sampdoria and Lazio are showing interest in Inter defender Marco Andreolli. The 28-year-old has failed to secure a first team spot since joining Inter from Chievo in 2013 and does not appear to be in Roberto Mancini’s plans. Sampdoria are believed to be favourites for Andreolli’s signature as the player is understood to be keen on a Marassi switch.

Friendly: England will round off their preparations for the European U-21 Championship with a friendly against Belarus at Barnsley on June 11. Three days later Gareth Southgate and his squad fly to the Czech Republic for the finals. Their first group game comes on June 18 against Portugal. Southgate will name his squad next Wednesday.

Tschauner: Hanover have secured cover for goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler with Philipp Tschauner arriving from St Pauli. The 29-year-old will join on a free transfer and should be understudy to the Germany keeper although, in the event of relegation, he may find himself as the Reds’ new no.1 with Zieler unlikely to remain.

Women’s WCUP: English football’s player of the year Ji So-yun will lead South Korea’s bid for a maiden Women’s World Cup victory after the Asian side’s squad was finalised yesterday. The Chelsea Ladies attacking midfielder has notched 38 goals in 74 appearances for South Korea who have been drawn in Group E alongside Brazil, Spain and Costa Rica at the June 6-July 5 tournament in Canada.
