Arsenal: Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that midfielders Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey are back in training and in contention for tomorrow’s game against Stoke City after lengthy spells on the sidelines. Germany international Ozil has been out since early October with a knee ligament injury, while Ramsey has not featured since the start of December, leaving Wenger short on goals and creativity in midfield.

Krul: Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul is set to return for his side’s Premier League trip to Chelsea today. The Dutchman has been out injured since November but came through a friendly against Celtic on Thursday and is set to replace Jak Alnwick in caretaker-boss John Carver’s line-up.

Neil: Norwich City have appointed Hamilton Academical boss Alex Neil as manager, the English Championship club said. The 33-year-old arrives at Carrow Road having guided Hamilton to third in the Scottish Premiership this season after earning promotion during his first full campaign in charge last year.

Faehrmann: Schalke 04 keeper Ralf Faehrmann will miss the Bundesliga restart at the end of the month after straining a knee ligament in training. “The diagnosis meant worse fears were thus not confirmed but will still miss the season restart,” Schalke said.

Gonzalez: Cagliari have signed Alejandro Gonzalez from Verona on loan until the end of the season. The Uruguayan defender is the first signing for new Cagliari coach Gianfranco Zola.

Blanc: PSG boss Laurent Blanc has accused Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavazzi of showing a “total lack of respect” after returning late from their Christmas holidays. The pair will sit out their team’s match against Bastia today. “These two players have done something unacceptable,’’ Blanc said. ‘‘It’s a total lack of respect towards the club.”

League Two: Accrington vs Burton pp.
