In Israel: Maccabi Tel Aviv won their first silverware of the season when they beat Maccabi Haifa 2-1 in the Israeli Toto Cup final on Wednesday in a match that included two own goals and a retaken penalty. Gray: Birmingham have rejected a £1.5 million bid from Bourne-mouth for Demarai Gray. The Cherries’ offer has been swiftly turned down by the Blues, who are under no pressure to sell the England Under-19 international. Press Association Sport reported that Birmingham would not sell the highly-rated 18-year-old for such a low fee. The Blues have offered Gray a two-year contract extension – his current deal expires in 2016 – in a bid to keep him at St Andrew’s.
